Capitol Hummer in Lansing Michigan sponsored a Hummer Happening to Silver Lake Sand Dunes on Lake Michigan. We had a convoy from Lansing to the dunes and then we met up with some others that were already there. We had a total of 6 H2's and 6 H3's - no H1's because the rumour is they get embarrased because thay cant make it up the big hill (Test Hill). The H'3s surprised everybody and turned out to be very tough and very competent off-roaders.

It took me several tries to make up and over Test Hill with my H3 before I realized I had to turn off the traction control and let more air out my tires- I went from 15 psi to 12. After that I made it 3 out of 5 times.

What a great time had by all and my hats off to Capitol Hummer for a great event!

This is my H3 in front of test hill- if you look in the upper left you can see a truck on the hill. It's way bigger and steeper than it looks in the picture.

I took this shot out the window when I was stuck and you can see another H3 burried on top. By the way- make sure your windows and sunroof are closed before you go- when I got stuck I punched it and 100 lbs of sand went straight up and 99lbs came back down in the truck!
