Good idea great for tires!

I don't like the idea of a compressed air tank inside the truck for space and saftey reasons

Have you thought of a snaller electric air compressor under the hood with a storage tank??

I doubt there is any room inside the rear fender wells inside the truck??

I haven't looked underneath the body for a space for a tank.

I wish they offered a tire inflator option on the H3.

there may be room in the rear door compartment and I know you can fit the electric comp. under the hood. hhhmmmmmmmm.

On board air would be nice (not a simple compressor like QuickAir) but PowerTanks are great and less hastle to install.

I could air down my 38.5"x14.5 Swamppers to 4psi and back up to 35LBs in around a minute.

Definetely going back with them...

Great idea Phil. Any more info on how to do this? And what is needed. I've been thinking about doing this on the SUT first and than the H3 down the road after some engine/ tire mods.

If I get a tank and fill my tires with Helium will my truck be lighter and float accross the water?
Seriously, thanks for the idea. I am going to try and find all this stuff and do it.
One last Q: How many tires will one tank get you? 37's? And it it costly to get CO2?

I mounted a superflow air compressor (no tank) in my 86 4runner. 3 easy steps to install.
(1) mount compressor. I mounted mine in the engine compartment.
(2) run the hot wire directly to the battery.
(3) run the ground wire.
I ran a 6' peice of air hose from the compressor along the inner frame rail to the center of my rig.
This set up will air up a 35" bfg from 10 to 30 lbs. in about 2 1/2 minutes and i only paid $90.00 w/ s&h.
I will be installing the same set up in my H3.

Quick question - did u get noticeable flex gains by disconnecting the swaybar on the IFS equiped Yota?
I figure this is all most people need to do to get an H3 to be more balance offroad.

You could always add revolver shackles in the rear, but that's for later
