Just get the tube and the filter that goes into the stock airbox. I have this with a power aid thotttle body spacer. and I get between 12 - 14 mpg. and it feels a little quicker.

No experience with Airaid, but I run a K&N on mine and have very good results with it. It definately is more responsive now. Not a huge difference but noticeable.

I've been running the AirRaid filter in the stock box & the AirRaid MIT. Definitely noticed a slight response improvement and a little better MPG.

I have been running one on my truck for about a year and it works great. Make sure you get the MIT tube is make a big difference. The mpg should increase a little but not much.

I have had one for years on my '03 but it is modified to fit with the supercharger. I like it.

I have the Volant air system with throttle body spacer. It helps, but the big difference came with the headers, magnaflow exhaust and Jet Chip. I am estimating around 400 HP and my mileage went up alittle BUT the BIG DIFFERENCE is the throttle response and it is just plain FUN TO DRIVE now. Very Peppy and gets up a goes. My 0-60 time went down to 8.3 seconds!!!

I had the Air Aid for about two weeks and I did not like it. I had it during some hot weather and took an extended trip. You could hear it vibrating at high speed, from the passenger side of the car. It also ran hotter because it allowed too much hot air from the engine compartment into the engine. The box is not sealed and fills with dirt, debris and moisture.

The box is now a planter, and the filter is in the stock box.

I went to Jet Performance Chips. Cost - $283.00. It increased horsepower by around 25. You MUST use premium gas which equals $4.00 - $5.00 per tank.. not a big deal to me. I like it, no programming options...I is programmed for max performance out of the box

Rocks,

Sounds like you have the open box so you must have the cone filter, how did you fit the cone filter in the stock air box?
