Anyone seen a white H2 blacked out. No chrome, black grill, powdercoated wheels, etc.

Hi Paragon
I am two steps away from this look - I just received my black grille (looks better than white) and I have communicated with member FrgMstr who is working on black power coated OEM rims (I want 5 rims) - here is a picture of my beast now before these last two steps (rims and grill)

I ordered mine before they came out and just ordered the lux package. So I have the chrome mirrors and door handles I will have to replace and will either get a Gobi rack, black bars or take the roof bars off all together.
I am anxious to see yours with the new wheels and the grill as those are now my only concern with the look. Are you going to get the H2 logo painted black or leave it chrome?

Hi Paragon
I just had conversation with FrgMstr who outlined how to remove-prepare-color change the H2 Chrome Logo to black for me - my initial answer is yes - but if there was any chrome on my Beast it would be the logo. I hope to install my black grill this next weekend and secure the new rims within the next few weeks.

How do you remove the logo?

No I have not - I think I will do the grille then the rims - I will stand back and look to see if I want to do the logo. Here is the direction given to me by FrgMstr:
"Also, you are going to have to pull that H2 chrome badge off and repaint it to full complete the look. Get some braided fishing line and "saw" it off. Easy as pie. Buff it will some 200 grit paper, primer and paint with a "satin texture" finish paint from Rustoleum and they will look kickass. Mind are about to go back on that way. Any HD double sidded stick tape will put them back on."

Here is basically what you asked for along with some ugly body cladding for good measure. I like it, without the new 4runner-esque cladding.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. I think I like it, it looks governmentish. I agree about the plastic glued to the bottom though, why would you do that?
