radio antenna too long

Every time i pull in and out of the garage, that damn radio antenna hits the garage header. Anyone find a shorter antenna? Can this be modified without messing with the reception? I use the XM most of the time but do switch back now and than.
I thought i remmeber a topic about this when the 04's came out, but couldn't find.

... a little help?
