Hey all. Looking to hopefully get an H3 soon. Looking at the stock tires, they look a little skinny to me (width wise). Would like a 33in AT BF Goodrich tire instead of the stock ones. Has any put the AT BFG tires on? Can you send me a pic? Is it indeed a wider tire? By how much, 1 in or so?
And do they stick out? or are they relatively flush with the side panels? I just want the vehicle to look good, not awkward.
Has anyone tweaked the torsion bars (level front end) and put 35" tires on? or would a more aggressive looking 33" be better? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the cudos gchurchill. The pitting is pretty much from daily use, although after my fishing trip <---excuse to go wheelin There was a couple new ones. I think its a problem area on the H3 even if you have the oreo cookie 31"s. I look at it as once they get pitted bad enough I might go for the X-Line product on all 4 fenders and grill.

They are 315/75R/16 --- 34.7 or something like that. Just shy of a true 35 inch tire. Usually a T-bar adjustment is made by the owner Chaugar, not the dealer, per what info Ive read on these boards. Not saying they wont do it though. I had the 33's on in stock config with T-bars with no problem, but raised my T-bars 2-1/2 turns to give me alittle more room and level my rig our some. I dont believe dealerships offer 35's, for the H3, but I could be wrong. Its a aftermarket thing. Heres a couple more pics of what a T-bar increase with 35's verse 31's and no T-bar adjustment. Sorry about the low light shots. Hope this helps .. See ya,,,

Yes they stick out further and my rear front part of fender is taking a beating. Ive been looking for some after market NICE fender flares like Bushwacker but havent found much. As for rubbing,, the tire just rubs the sway bar on full right steer lock, so as long as I dont crank it full right theres no problem. Average wheelin has been no problem but extream wheelin will probably get some tire hits. Not in to big a hurry to beat my new 35K rig so I havent done anything to crazy with it. See ya

Holly Cr*p StarsNBars. After I saw the pic of your Rig and the white one running H2 35's, I can't wait till I get my H3. Hopefully I can talk my local Hummer dealer into tweaking the torsion bars and upgrading my tires to 35's. Are you running your stock H3 rims, or are those the H2 rims? Thanks

StarsNBars, KacyK had posted in the past that he thought His 35's visibly stuck out >1 in from the truck fender and there was maybe some concern of it kicking rocks and mud on the body. He also mention rubbing. What is your experience with this? Does it rub when you off road with 35's?
Here is his post....
Here's the link with pics and comments about my new 33's.

If I could do it all over again I would have bought the stock chrome rims and just added these BFG's in a 295/75-16. It would be about 33.5 in height, no rubbing, wide, aggressive, quiet, and great for wheeling and all season traction.

Hi there, I'm one with 35" H2 tires
on my H3. I haven't had a problem with rocks
or rubbing, but I'd definitely stay away
from wide 35" tires if you want to drive
on mud and not have it get all over.
One of my favorite pictures from other people:
So far I really like the big wide tires
maybe because I kept my good old Ford F-150
truck as a "workhorse" while the H3 is my
"sports truck". The Hummer likes being spoiled.
I'm thinking of getting the same BF Goodrich
All-Terrain tires for the truck and the
temptation is to get big wide tires
for the Ford too, but I should resist
this temptation and keep the wheels under
the fenders. It's good enough for the Hummer
to look like a Deere tractor...
(How would John Deere green look on a Hummer?)

Those are great pics 2extreme! So are your T/A's 285/75/R16 33's or 35's. Sorry I've forgotten how to convert those numbers. They look like 35's. Also did you tweak the torsion bars to level the front end? looks like it.
Do you have any side shots of your rig? Thanks man. chau

For sure! You guys know how awesome you are to reply to newbies with pics? Hopefully I can return to the favor to someone else. Talking to the guys at HUMMER dealership, they have no clue about any of this. Many consumers usually know more about the product than sales people. I took you advice and read up on some posts about 35's. It sounds like one owner put on 35's without leveling the front end at all. Is that possible or did I just read something wrong? Thanks
