To those involved in this recent mess, I am asking that you all try to forgive and forget. It has gotten out of hand and has become a huge detriment to me and more importantly the site and our community.

The bickering is nearly impossible to tolerate, but I am find myself in a difficult situation: cleaning up the mess vs. being accused of censorship. I prefer to stay out, as past "discussions" have mostly worked themselves out on their own.

This "discussion" is a bit different, as I have received more complaints about it than any other. It is time to drop it, no apologies need to be made, lets just move on and forget about the past.

To those who were not involved and were subject to the language and the images:

I apologize to you all. I will try to do a better job of keeping things focused on the H2 and the topics relating to it.

I realize that beefs between individuals will occur, but I ask that you take them private immediately and not subject others to your dirty laundry.

This is OUR community and I hope that everyone will look out for its best interests. We all have enough BS to deal with in our everyday lives; this should be one of our places to escape.

I appreciate your future cooperation and I appreciate everyone's input on all matters, good or bad.

Regards,
Jason

Detonate,

I deal with so much slack for banning anyone, no matter how solid I believe my reasons to be and prefer not to do it.

Rather, I am asking again for everyone to accept responsibility for themselves. If that can not be accomplished, maybe it would be better that I ask you to ban yourself (I am not referring to you literally here.)

Maybe you are right, definite lines in the sand should be drawn, but I prefer not to do it and get involved with a "you banned me, well he did this, so you need to ban him too" arguments.

Jason

DRTY messes with everybody, it's his personality. But most people realise it and get past it. All I'm saying is don't take everything against you personally and this will go away.

Buckeye, I am reminded of something a wiseman once said. "Anything you can do, I can do better. I can do anything better than you."

If I am going to make a trip all the way out to Cali you better atleast find a trail that is worth my time. That is way too far for me to drive to go on one of the Kiddie trails that you frequent just to get your Pavement Pricess dirty.

Very cute MAC, looks like ya rubbed a few brain cells and came up with something clever. Or not.

We'll see what neurological pathways ya gave up when you try to talk tomorrow during that all important board meeting.....the one where you discuss the importance of trimming the hedges BEFORE blowing the (short) driveway?

Damn man. Isn't this what has been asked of us all along?

I mean seriously. There needs to be very clear line drawn in the sand.

If any of us singles out any of the others, ban them. No questions asked. Everyone will be clear as day on the rules, and no complaints or incidents should ever occur.

I don't read as much as I used to, so I missed most of the banter. But it does make things interesting from time to time. If arguments wouldn't get personal or taken as such, it could actually be quite entertaining. However, it's probably healthier to save your strength to vent on the trolls anyway.

I suppose I'll have to throw in my 2-cents here:

It's one thing to be clever, tease and have some rough fun.....but this stuff has well crossed the line and become embarrassing & disgusting.

I don't really know what Jim did to get on so many people's ****-list. He's always been a straight-shooter and an offroad enthusiast...the only thing I've ever noticed is that he (like many others here) tends to be a bit blatant and perhaps shares a bit more of his feeling/thoughts then some might care to hear.

I'm sure I must have missed some stuff...but still, you have to look at it over the long run: he's solid, a regular and didn't deserve to be burned as hard as he was.

My thought: respond to those you like and care about...ignore those you don't. Makes me wonder why MAC never responds to me anymore?????

Last thought. I own my own company. When I meet with lawyers, business owners and other educated people I tend to be more formal and repsresent myself as an intellect with some education and a bit of class (you know....try to fool them). At the same time, I have to work with my workers and come down to a ghetto mantality where we talk like we're wanna-be rappers living in the hood. Bottom line: we are all capable of presenting ourselves as we see fit.

Over the last couple months I've watched the forum relax and mellow. Some of this is good and what Alec is talking about...we feel closer, talk more openly and give eachother some teasing. At the same time....we've also introduced some nasty elements that are rather distasteful...it's become like the Jeeper Forum. The sexual references have gone from "R" rated to hardcore & disgusting. We've completely departed from clever & witty to just nasty & disgusting. I don't have to elaborate....I think we all know darn well what I'm talking about.

Damn this horse is high!

Shaggy,

I thought I scared you away already.

Why don't you bring your s10 out here to run John Bull and a few other trails. I haven't used my winch yet so it would be nice to pull you around.

Jason,
First of all I'd like to tell everyone that this site is without question the best H2 site. I don't go anywhere else. The white-trash banter between some folks (and myself included on occasion, I admit) is sometimes entertaining, but has grown into a negative for many folks who visit the site, and probably really freaks newbies out. To maintain a professional and effectively informative site, it seems realistic that these 2 things be imposed here on this forum; 1) people who want nothing more than to bash others are personally should be contacted by you, Jason, via email, and given the chance to obstain from trailor trash bickering (and then monitored under your watchful eye) or face 1+ week suspensions from posts at this site and then follow up by blocking their posts for whatever said amount of time- 1 or 2 weeks if they continue. And 2) within your (Jason) own opinion, make a new forum for the trolls, weenies, and trailor trash in which once the bickering has proceeded beyond 2-4 reply posts, is placed into a new forum post. You could call it the Jerry Springer Forum. That way people looking for fights, or those who are just severely upset by their lack of .... shifter length.... could go after their favorite person to bicker with in the JSF (Jerry Springer Forum). These posts would no longer show up in the genereal H2 forum, which frankly, they don't belong to anyway, once people start to be childish idiots.
This seems to be quite simple, other than it would be more labor intense for you Jason. Please feel free to contact me if you want to argue these opinions at mountainbikr@hotmail.com . See how we can avoid forum arguements by giving our email address for further comments!!

Yeah, I so want to be friends with you DF. The part where you start and end every paragraph you write to me with an insult totally does it for me.
