Ok, I finally got the spare on. What a PITA.

I put it on last Saturday and went to bolt it down, but the stock lugs weren't long enough to work. I couldn't get the socket deep enough into the rabbit where the lug goes against the wheel. So off it came.

I stopped by the dealership to show them the Alec's Moab disc and mentioned the problem and you know what happened next. Yep, the great guys at Hall HUMMER GAVE me a set of locking lugs for the spare!

Greeeeeeat. I will toss one on the truck tomorrow just to be sure. I know for a fact the center of the wheel (where the hole is) is much smaller than that of the stock wheels. I will post my findings tomorrow! or

SHAT!

I cannot fit a spare on my truck. The center of the wheel is not large enough.

So I am going to have to:

1) buy a tire cover!
2) Put the wheel/tire on the gobi rack I hope to win!
3)run without a spare on the back!

Your plates look like my avatar </div></BLOCKQUOTE>We have so many boat builders and such around here I'm going to check with some guys. Heck, if they can build a tuna tower, they can build this. Then I'll line-x it.

How many do you want to order?

Stomper, I can see fine out the back, but don't get too close. There was a car behind me at a light yesterday... Actually there were TWO. I couldn't see the one closest to the truck.

I'd also make sure you have a correct wheel for your truck. It may not be seated properly on the hubs if it won't fit on the rack.

You've already spent enough on mods but.....

custom build a slantback-type bed cover and mount it on top of that!
