Can you?

If you have seen another Dealer treat you better than your own, should you?

Pro's.....Con's?

I'd LOVE to call Hummer. Happen to have a phone number for them?

My finance idiot decided to jack the interest rate by almost 4% when we decided not to take the Vesco (interior protection for cloth seats) and Gap insurance coverages that the dealership never offered us.....they just added them on and acted stunned when we chose to decline. Now they're giving us a hard time because we don't want to pay their ridiculous interest rate and want to use our own finance company (who is financing us with a rate that's almost half the dealer's rate). Anyone have any suggestions?

Not to mention the fact that I've had the vehicle for almost 2 full weeks and last night was the first time we'd heard a thing about the rate changing. We'd already signed all the paperwork. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Refi it right away with your credit union and double-check that there is no prepayment penalty.

One more thing- we wanted to add the 3M stuff that's supposed to help stop stone chips. When we started complaining about the interest rate- the finance guy tried to say "I'm gonna throw the 3M stuff in at no charge for your trouble". Honestly- $349 does nothing for me.

Get your ducks in a row? WTF? I'd be telling them to lick your Pee stained bumper. (Adam did that BTW).

Becasue of service, I stayed away from two dealers here in Denver and went to the Springs to do my business. They take care of me very well there. before I left for Moab, they said to call them if I needed anything while i was there.
After you get your ducks in a row, I'd shove them up there azz's.

BTW- my dogs got Adam back for you. ...with a little help from me.

I can't wait to get the survey for my H3 purchase. I liked the Hummer dealership but their finance people suck. I've been lied to WAY too much and I've only owned the H3 for 2 weeks today.

The following advice is not specific to Hummer, or even vehicle dealerships in general, but generally, I have gotten good results by writting an assertive, but not angry, letter to a company's corporate office. You don't want to come off like you have a hair trigger and errupt at the slightest disrespect or inconvenience. Just explain in a reasonable tone how, on the one hand, you had subperb confidence-inspiring, goodwill-creating service from the SLC dealer - provide specifics - and then explain how the local people alienated you by treating you otherwise. Explain that the difference is so great that you would consider driving more than 100 miles to go to SLC for major service or if a family member wanted to buy a 2nd Hummer. There is a good chance that Hummer's survival instincts will cause them to take notice and and realize the the SLC dealership is probably putting a btter face on Hummer than the local one, which can affect both new sales and customer-loyalty sales. Once, and if, Hummer contacts the local dealership, you might get some better attention. If nothing else, it gives you a chance to render justice.

BTW: One of the reasons I think that this will work in the Hummer situation is how much pressure I got from my dealer to fill out the survey with the highest marks - they were absolutely petrified of Hummer thinking that they were doing a mediocre job with their product.

Although sales and service are run by different people, they are related in CSI. If the service people are not giving you the assistance you need, try getting the sales manager/GM involved. I get involved in alot of service issues and am able to put some heat on the advisors and the techs. It doesnt always work, but most of the time I do get results for the owner. You can use any dealership you chose for service, but you should expect the best service from where you purchased your truck. We should all give you the time and treatment you deserve.

No, you have to always use the same dealer, forever. It's in your contract.

No different than if you move, change to the best dealer nearby.

SV Hummer in Los Gatos is where me and BP go. They have been better than other dealerships I've dealt with in the past but I've had some problems with them. Basically, they are the most convenient for me plus I bought mine there.

They are supposed to be building a huge dealership in Milpitas with a test track, etc. That will actually be better for me when it opens. Hopefully the service dept. will be up to snuff.

No reason at all you have to stay with any specific dealer. Everything at our dealership is based on customer satisfaction. We actually have several people that drive 200 miles to have their trucks worked on here. They have a dealer in their home town if they (have to).

Yes, you can.

Not only that, but you can give your old dealer the finger by filling out a customer satisfation survey that comes in the mail after you have had warranty service. GM would be all over them.

There are many ways to fuk over your dealer if they give you crappy service.
