To Much Rust under new H3?

I just bought my H3 last week. I bought the white with sunroof and adventure pak. Am really happy except i noticed quite a bit of rust under neath. Is this normal?? How can a new H3 already have rust under neath? Any one else notice any rust underneath by rearend and drive train??

We all have rust on the driveshaft and rear differential.

When was it built?

How long has it been sitting on the lot?

Probably just surface rust. I wouldn't worry too much about it. But if it really bothers you, take it back to the dealer and have them clean it up.

Welcome to the madness.

Don't worry about the undercarriage surface type rust in California. Leave it to the east coasters to give it the real winter salt treatment and report back later.
