Well, they say it happens in 3....
Last week when I decided to rotate the tires, I came across a few problems...
First, the damn stud broke...
While looking at the stud, I noticed the shock seemed like it was at a wierd angle...WTF?
Then out of the blue, I've got a serious vibration at 45 mph. I pulled the driveshaft (my newly made aluminum one) and the guy at the driveshaft shop said it had a bend in it. He says the way the bend is in it that it's from torque.
I assured him that there wasn't enough torque to bend a driveshaft that they use in 700HP vehicles.
Anyway, they're making a new one, I'm going back to steel instead of aluminum...
Hopefully this was the last of my set of 3.
My first thought was that these were all related but I haven't been offroad in a LONG time, didn't drive over any hybrids.... really I have no understanding or rational explanation why these 3 happened at the same time.

Maybe the broken shock was absorbing the driveshaft bend as transfered to the broken stud.

Mark, do you lift?
Apparently you are too strong. You broke the wheel stud just after applying so much torque to the lug wrench that it was twisting up the rear end bending the shock ram and bending up the drive shaft.
