How many flashlights will you need off road?

I am planning to eventually try my Hummer off the pavement, maybe, and I want to know how many flashlights would be good. I may be out after streetlights come on if that helps.

Phil says that you should never leave the house, even if you're going to the mailbox, without at least 3 EDC flashlights.

For off roading trips, Phil says a good rule of thumb is bring at least two per gallon of gas you have on the roof. That means you need to bring about 96 flashlights.

I got one of these for xmas. Handy having the ability to stand, but also will collapse into a "normal" flashlight. Also, will run on 3, 6, or 9 batteries and 1, 3, or 6 LEDS.

I would appreciate if would leave one on the Gobi ladder or at least on top of the rack itself. Stumbling around looking for a place to pee on top of your rack is dangerous at night. It's irresponsible to not think of others.
