well, you aint the playa until you have a room in your house decorated in Cryptobiotic Soil. I will post a list of trails you can gather this up.
IMO, it's much better to keep this in your home. It's not as prone to getting ruined as it is out on the open range. Think about it. You could instruct everyone to stay out of your room. Or maybe even get the crust to attach to your walls.

I have no clue what you all are talking about, I know that I think its illegal here in FL. I am sure I have smelled it a few times on the beach at night.
