Default H3 gas pedal knocking

I have 8000 miles on my 07 I have been feeling more than hearing a knock in my gas pedal/steering column fell it both places it has really gotten bad today I called dealer and they can't fit me in till 4 days from now any suggestions on what it might be? I don't want to get there and they say they can't feel it because I know it is there

bject: Clunk Or Knock Noise Heard And Felt Through The Steering Wheel Or Brake And Accelerator Pedals - keywords intermediate rattle shaft #PIT4448 - (06/27/2007)
Models: 2007 Hummer H3
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A clunk or knock noise is heard and felt through the steering wheel or brake and accelerator pedals, the cause is a slip/stick condition in the lower steering shaft. This is a temperature sensitive issue and usually requires the vehicle to have been driven for a period of time to increase under hood temperatures

Recommendation/Instructions:
Replace the lower steering shaft part no. 25776339. There is a high probability that replacing the shaft will correct the condition as there are only a small percentage of parts that exhibit this condition. This PI will be updated when a new part number becomes available.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

Mine has this problem to just bought three weeks ago Seems to be widespread

Had my H3 in the shop for the steering column noise/movement (among other things) a few weeks ago. They couldn't duplicate the problem. Go figure.

They did say they tightened the body mounts....and thought that might fix it. It didn't - so if they tell you that's what their fix is.....it won't work.

I'm not sure how they couldn't duplicate it cause it pretty dam obvious to me.

Glad I am not the only one atleast I can tell the dealer what it may be. I hate having a problem and having service tech drive it and tell me that they don't hear or feel anything. It does seem to be tempurture sensitive because it was over 104 degrees here Friday and I thought the front end was going to fall out the truck and was afraid to drive it over the weekend but got in it this morning and had no problems till I got in to town and then it started a little bit

I have 8,000 miles on it and the only problems so far ae:

1.this knocking, bumping feel
2.driver door clicking weird dealer said they would have to put new hinge actuator
3.map pocket torn from stitching I have never used it but I guess maybe folding rear seat down tore it?

Thanks!!

I am having the same problem and have been told it is the steering shaft also. Went to the dealer two weeks ago and mentioned that's what I thought it was. They said no way. They came back an hour later and said it was the steering shaft. :/ They need to order the part and I haven't heard back from them yet. I will call them Monday and see what's up. But it is warrenty, so no charge to fix it... other then the hour it takes me to get to the closest dealer. I loose a half day just for a stinkin oil change.

I think I may have the same issue. When I brake a and turn or accelerate and turn I hear a sort of clicking sound. It almost sounds as if something is real tight and aabout to snap.

Is this what everyone else is experiencing?

Yeah, I noticed mine early on. I knew there was definitely a problem somewhere in the front end. The problem will arise after long drives or increased outside temperatures (you will feel it faster if the outside temperature is pretty hot). I now have 12K miles on the car and are still waiting for GM to get the new shafts to my dealer. I think I will call them tomorrow because it is driving me nuts...especially with the 100 Degree houston weather. The service guy said that he saw the problem more on the adventure models rather than the basic models. Before, he told me that they were just replacing the shafts with the same design and not the redesigned one. Have the redesigned shaft models been released yet from GM?

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM STARTED MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. IT TOOK THEM 2 WEEKS TO FIGURE THE PROBLEM OUT. I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO THINK I HELPED OUT A LITTLE. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 03 DURAMAX. I GOT MY NEW SHAFT IN THE MIDDLE OF JULY. FIXED PROBLEM RIGHT UP. ON MINE THE BUSHING AT THE COLAPSE POINT ON THE STEERING SHAFT WAS CRUSHED. THEY SAID THAT WAS LETTING THE SHAFT FLEX IN AND OUT. IT TOOK ABOUT 45 MINUTES TO FIX. AFTER THE DEALERSHIP FIXED MINE THEY HAD 6 OR 7 MORE RIGHT AFTER MINE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS. GOOD LUCK HOPE EVERYBODY GETS THE NEW SHAFT.
