Re: h2 engine upgrade
Pretty cool concept, but judging from the advertised prices on their web site, they'd charge more than a new truck to make it happen!
$850 for a fake hood scoop, yea... that's what I want...

Re: h2 engine upgrade
These guys have been doing this for a few years now.
There are a few others that do it as well. One in Kansas for I think it was $14,000 to $20,000.
I would rather go the manual tranny and selectable transfer case on the gas burner that has been done.

Manual tranny on the trail??? You are a real he-man. I did that once in a galaxy far far away with a granny 4-speed heep. No fun in the tight places, but with practice you can hang in there.
Now I'll take the selectable x-fer case, no worries...
Question: when the conversion is done for, let's say 15K, do you get to keep your engine, trans, x-fer case???

Re: h2 engine upgrade
Tranny and transfer case is added to your stock gas H2 motor and i think you get to keep the old stuff. On the lower priced diesel deal not sure but, I doubt you get to keep all the factory stuff.
My thinking on the manual tranny and T-case would not be so much for off-road as being able to run 2WD on pavement and with the power I'm building my H2 up for drag racing on occasion but, mostly for the show circuit my Mall Queen goes through each year. I have sponsors who have us to remove all last year equipment during winter to upgrade for new season shows. With the manual tranny and selectable T-case as long as i can put a good tune with water/methanol inj. to supercharger on and on the manual setup may hold up allot longer. It would just put more horses to the ground etc. Man it just would be fun. I'm building it to have allot of fun with it anyway requardless of tranny. I would have the manual gear ratio changed to move gearing up and get rid of a granny low.

Re: h2 engine upgrade
I would be happy with just pulling out the stock motor and puttin in a new Z06 motor with a Magnuson. A few more horses.
