I remember back in the early 90s a Congressman from, I think, one of the Carolinas, got busted wearing a t-shirt. It was not long after the Japanese Foreign Minister (or something similar) was quoted saying that "All American workers are lazy and illiterate." (It was back when everyone thought Japan was going to own us by the end of the 90s). The Congressman?s t-shirt had a picture of a B-29 and said:
