Hey there everyone,
I know we didn't buy our vehicles to be economic and conservative, but......a lot of people have posted mpg in the 12-13 range. I have 4,500 miles on my H2 with no performance mods or tire size changes, and I am consistantly getting 10.2-10.5 MPG. And, I truely don't beat on the truck. The MPG I have recorded is an equal highway to city driving area. I am going to start adding a few performances mods, but wanted to see what MPG others are averaging as well.
Thanks,
Kevin

10.7 MPG @ 17K miles and 5 days to first anniversary.
Stock. Heavy foot agressive driving, freeway @ 75-80MPH, local almost all up and down hills twisty, winding or extreme zigzag mountain roads. Maximum worst driving condition for lowest possible MPG, I refuse to let MPG take away my driving pleasure. 10.7MPG is not bad at all. All things considered, I am very happy with my perfect condition no rust no rattle no leak no defect 10.7 MPG 4 ton Hummer.

I wonder if it would have anything to do w/ the formulated fuel some of the large metro areas have to use.
It has alcohol added to cut down on pollution and alcohol has less BTU.

Well I did trade my H2 in today. They gave me 46K for it (plus the 6% tax credit for that amount against the new H1). Pretty much summed up the trade as an issue with new trucks having a 3K rebate/incentive plus discounting. They even surprised me by saying they would not even keep my trade on the lot for resale (only 4K miles) but send off to auction. They can't move used H2's at any price apparently. In the end at least I felt the 46K number was fair. Plus the H1 was $65K brand new. Full Warranty. Amazing price. They even let me keep the first aid and tool kit out of my H2. Cool! That really closed the deal
The only bummer to the whole thing is I have a set of Goodyear 37" MTR's on H2 rims that are brand new that I kept thinking I could remount them on the H1 but the dam thing had 16.5" rims w. GSA's. Now I either need to sell the MTR on H2 rims or buy a spare set of 17" H1 rims. Just wish those where as crazy cheap as stock H2 rims. No such luck.
Sorry for the long winded message... I also have a Predator Programmer. I know these lock to the VIN but I kept it. Anyone ever ask about getting these cleared and unlocked. Completely worthless to me right now.

. . . You all should see a jump of about 1-2 MPG around the 5K mark as the computer keeps the fuel mix rich for engine break-in. I am now seeing 11-12 in town, 12-14 highway, less so when the temp drops. . . Ric >>
I have heard this from others too, but I saw no noticeable increase in mpg after 5000 miles. I am at 12000 miles now.

Wow ... in the SF Bay Area, at least at the San Rafael MBZ dealership and the Walnut Creek Range Rover dealership, I was told that I would get only $38,000.00 on a trade for my Pewter H2, 8000 miles, perfect condition, with Gobi Rack/Tire Carrier on top and all lights, front and back on the Gobi ...

I've kept exact records of mint thru the 11,000+ miles...when I have time to update the spreadsheet I will post. 10.4--I stared at that Number for the better part of a year. I've changed oil 4 times. The last two were Synthetic. I picked up 1 MPG on the first change. One week ago, I had the second change and now stare at 11.9-12.4, go figure! The rest of the drive-train is soon to follow.
I suppose this falls into the same category as Dicemans post on the fuel saver, and will most likely render the same response. My Experience is, --THIS--snake oil worked for me. Might be reconsidering one of those fuel savers just to try--Hell .5 or more MPG, still adds up!
Anyway, with 17,383 miles on my rig, i don't think these are bad numbers--since it isn't even "broke-in" yet.

I have topped out at 13.5 mpg on highway, and normally 10.9 city - stock, no performance upgrades - but I do have the roof lights which catch alot of wind. AC use is also a factor in mileage.

Well I called Armen and they do have two converts, 01's, new, for $65K. They said ballparking I would be around $46K trade but that they where very eager to move the H1's and would be wiiling to get aggressive on both sides of the equation. I didn't mention the tire carrier, roof and grill lights either to them so I'm hoping to push close to $50K when I'm done. Plus a trade would give me close to $3K in tax credit.
Of course this is all in a perfect world. I'm open to talk to him if he's interested but I'm heading to Armen at 11AM. Heck, if he's really interested would could even do the deal through Armen if he needs financing and such. You get better rates sometimes buying from a dealer than an individual. I'll email you my contact info again.

Kevin, I am like you. My Onboard computer states 10.4mpg. I have 2600 miles and drive it light footed. However I do use the A/C everytime I am in it here in the South.

What do you need to get, I may possibly have someone interested. My brother in law is interested in a preowned, just not sure if he can swing it.

Kevin.
Thanks for the word on Armen. I'd really like to move to an H1 but I just don't feel like taking the hit on the H2 as a trade-in plus I'm to lazy right now to sell it myself.
If I thought they would get really really aggressive with my trade in and price on the the H1 I would consider it, but I doubt I can get where I need to.

might be a Philadelphia thing because I am the same as you. Hardly ever see this "12-13" number. I'm right at 10MPG
