Tripple Chrome Plating?

Is tripple chrome plating just some sales BS/Gimick?

Polished stainless steel is always going to hold up better than chrome, right?

I'm so sick of polishing all this damn chrome on my rig trying to keep the salt from pitting it.

Chrome bad... paint it black.. or line x it. polished steal will always be able to be repolished the chrome will chip pit and peal. Black is the way to go..

Triple chrome plating is a show finish chrome. The part is polished,then copper plated,then nickel plated, and then chromed. That type of chrome is not nearly as durable as polished stainless.

i have heard of cerama Chrome. it is a chrome like finish done with powder coating. i have also heard it is very strong.
