Question about Flex-Fuel
Other then the world coming to an end, growing tits, kissing Dennis, etc etc etc.........................
What would/could happen by burning Flex-Fuel in an I 5 3.5 engine?

Re: Question about Flex-Fuel
I am definitely not the expert, but I think E85 burns hotter and a few other things, so a non flex fuel engine shouldn't be given it. Other stuff.. perhaps fuel lines, or injectors, fuel tank, etc, not to mention the engine computer wouldn't be smart enough to know how to handle it.
in short...not a good idea. IMHO

Yes, I was in the passenger seat, my next door neighbor wanted to see what a H-3 was like so we went for a drive...and he says, "let me buy you some gas" and I say "THANKS"...well to make a way to long story much shorter 8 gallons of FLEX-FUEL got into the take before I discovered what he was pumping...right away jumped to REG GAS for another 10 gallons...
So far I put about 70 miles on it and don't see anything beyond the normal...tomorrow morning I'm going to top off again with REG gas and do that for the next week or two to dilute the flex-fuel...
any "GOOD" comments or suggestions beyond "SHAVING MY BALLS" would be appreciated...

Re: Question about Flex-Fuel
E-85 is corrosive to rubber gaskets, o-rings and seals, probably would not worry about 8 gallons mixed with regular gas in tank, just don't make it a habit. Flex fuel vehicles are redisigned with metal fuel lines and different seals than non ffv thus preventing the corrosive problems.

Re: Question about Flex-Fuel
Back when there was leaded/unleaded fuel the nozzles supposedly would only fit in one or the other. Based on this I'm guessing E85 and unleaded didn't follow that same format?
