H3 Buyer to be? is off the scale

Well, today hopefully concludes my quest for attaining my new H3 Boulder Gray, LUX, Ebony leather, Sunroof, Chrome Steps, Brush Guard, Chrome Wheels, XM and Hitch.

The deal was very strange and is half complete as of this morning at 10am Dallas time. I used the GMS Discount a Sewell and sold my current car to a guy in Kentucky who has never been in one, or ever driven one. The deal went through Sewell Hummer, so I could save the tax on the Hummer. He gave Sewell a Cashier's check for my car, and has picked up my H3 to drive it to me in Phoenix from Dallas (better him than me...).

You guys follow? LOL - I didn't think this would ever go through without a hitch, but we are halfway there. WISH ME LUCK!!!

Sorry but I made a deal with my dealer when they switched out the chrome. Didn't have to pay for the new handles/mirror caps only had to pay a part of the installation labor cause they got to keep the chrome. Kindof funny when my dealer said that my H3 was getting a lot of attention in the showroom this past week. Bunch of people wanted to buy her cause of the different options.

Well finally at 205am, I am back home, and the H3 is in the garage sleeping like I should be. I am normally in bed by 10pm but for this I have to make an exception. I am supposed to be at work at 8am tomorrow, I don't think that will be an option... I am going to wash the H3 up, then go to check out some wheels, and hopefully get some window tint.

Killian, where did you get yours done? Were they any good, and how much did they charge?

Hey Angelus, I wanted to get the chrome door handles and mirros but I could not get them... do you think you can sell me the ones that you took off from yours?

My dealer wouldn't change the black ones that came with mine for the chrome ones :-( If you can get the ones that they took off from your H3 maybe you can make some extra $

Just got an update from him, thankfully he is calling all the time to keep me updated - if not I would have been going NUTS by now...

He is on the 101 and Warner, about 20 minutes away!

The discount was due to GM Supplier discount. Sticker was $38660 and I got it for $35,288 or there abouts. With all the tax and $700 for plates (AZ plates are retarded) the total was like $36,180. NOT TOO BAD!!!

Now all I have left to do is sell the chrome wheels that I do not want! Anyone interested? $1300 for five wheels and tires. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I can give you $800 for them :-)

Killian - Why would that not surpise me? I mean if something like that happened. This has gone way too smoothly so far.

Firm - You only pay tax on the difference, the new car was $35XXX after all the GMS discounts, and the trade was $33,500 so I only paid tax on the 2 grand instead of $35 grand. Saves around $2400.

How did you save the tax on your hummer? You didn't have to pay tax because of a trade-in?

I understand... if you let me take everything for $800 I will drive to Phoenix, I asked a friend of mine who owns a tire shop how much he would give me for the H3's original wheels and tires if I wanted to trade them for 18" wheels + tires (considering they where the chrome ones) and he told me that he would give me 600 for all rimes AND tires?!

Ask your local tire shop how much they would give you for your wheels and tires.. perhaps you will do better if you let me take everything :-)

BTW, I got mine today.. it is SWEET!! I LOVED EVERYTHING! I will post some pics tomorrow, but I guess it will look just like yours.
