Default Re: Body Mounts??

I actually had my Hummer dealership replace all the body mounts on my 08 H2.
It was making squeeking sounds when driving all low speeds.
They had to order several components so it took 2 days.

Unfortunately, I'm clueless on actually doing the work.
I wish I could be more help.

Are you having the squeeking sounds under your truck? (when you're going neighborhood speeds) Is that way you're changing the body mounts?

Hi this TSB was for squeeking noises under your truck, likely this is what was done on your truck dvl57. If this is why your asking HumminNBoatin, it may still be fixed under warranty? hope this helps.

1. Raise the vehicle.

2. Loosen the lower body mounts on the right hand side of the vehicle. Jack Stand Location:

3. Install jack stands on the right hand side of the vehicle to support the body (refer to graphic # 1).

4. Slightly lower the vehicle just enough to provide access to the upper body mount.

I talked to one of Hummer's techs and they said they just get a antifreeze jug and cut a circle out of it and use that for the "repair".

Its not sqeaking its loud clunking at slow speeds. Like hitting a driveway curb, rough roads, offroad, or accelerating at a stop light. So its replacement time I think.

hi HumminNBoatin' if that is the case, clunking on accelerating check the front crossmember that has a big rubber mount in the center of it, that is for the front diff. I had the same clunking noise in my truck. I remove the crossmember and lubed the top of the mount where it bolts to the front diff. That was the fix for my problem, noise gone. Hope this helps.
