I use the front power outlet for my Sirius satellite.Unlike my last SUV, the power to this does not cease when I turn off the engine. Therefore, if I forget to turn off the Sirius, it stays on till I return. Is it normal for power to continue with the engine off and are there any options to only be live with the engine going? Thanks

Same thing in my Denali and in my H2. All power points are hot all of the time.
You could conceivably rewire it to work off of an ACC accessory switched circuit.
You would buy a relay and run a wire from something that is switched via the key and that would trigger the relay to allow the power to flow from the wire there now through the relay to a wire you would add from the relay to the plug.

I wonder if there is even enough draw to worry about it? My radar detector is on always and have no issue to date. (Knock on wood)!
Is there more draw to this? My guess is yes, but not really sure.

Actually, I should thank you. Now I remember something else that I was going to do to my truck while I have it in 1000 pieces.
Tim, my truck will sit for a week at a time and my GPS would pull my Optima Yellow Top down. I have a couple of things to plug in up front and I am going to switch them over to be ignition switched and leave one as power all the time.

That power stays on all the time in my current SUV so I am used to it.
