Sharpton wants his own sitcom
"I don't know if I am a good actor or not but I will be playing myself and I have been practicing that for 51 years," the New York Democrat and civil rights leader said. <span class="ev_code_RED">No sh1t!</span> 
Sharpton said he was attracted to the idea of a sitcom because "this is a way of impacting and bringing a social message in a way that people can digest it. We will talk about our differences and our commonalities." <span class="ev_code_RED">Uh huh, I can see the script now.</span>
A pilot episode for a series would be produced early next year by Paramount Network Television for CBS. <span class="ev_code_RED">Figures.</span>

Yes, he is used to dramatic preformances for money. I guess he realized that he couldn't make much in joining PETA for the crusade against Kentucky fried chicken.

If CBS doesn't pick up the show Sharpton could always threaten a boycott to get paid anyway.
