im in nj too and am in the market for a 04 h2. i have been to james in flem and hated it. they kept trying to push me off to this sales person who was like its cool just buy it. i took my wife there one day and we walked out. we went to gold coast cadillac/hummer in oakhurst nj (the shore area)and it was like heaven there. the sales manager gave us this comparison, you go there and get treated like a toyota customer. you come here and get treated like a cadillac customer. it is a big difference between the two. we didnt buy one that day but my wife said that when we do it will be here. my biggest problem is with dealer survice. we are a 2 bmw family and get treated like gold at the dealer(not there much but when we do go its first class)i am leary of any gm dealers, but trust the cadi dealer more.

The 2004 H2 suv just began production today. Finished vehicles should be ready to ship out by mid august.

Just got a 03H2 at GoldCoast and paid invoice with no problems. I heard 04's in late Oct the earlist due to overstock of 03's. GoldCoast has been great so far.

Production starts August 18 and the first 2004 H2s will hit dealerships realistically early October. While the options have been announced (there's a seperate thread on that) pricing has not so you can't yet order. I figure next week pricing to be out and you will be able to order then. I'm sure your dealer will accept a deposit now to "put you first in line" but don't bother. You give away your negotiating power and it won't get you your 2004 H2 much earlier.

Wonder how long before the parts are available for them? I see they are going to have a chrome gas cap available with chrome filler trim and I am really interested in see a pic if it looks good I would order it from parts dealer for mine. Also does anyone know what Platinum Chrome is? I see that is an option for the front grill on the 2004.

oh yeah i checked and they are sitting on about 75 which is 3 months worth. you might be able to get a good deal now with the 04 arround the corner. i am waiting for the 04 and hoping that they work out the bugs.
