Well, an H2 was supposed to show but she was afraid I was going to actually leave her stuck in the mud and cancelled so we had 3 H1's only for this trip. We tried all kinds of really stupid things to push our Hummers to the limit.
Enjoy: We'll start with our Hummer Poster Child Shot.

Awesome pictures! That looks like a perfect place to go off-roading.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to post 'em.

Those pics are awesome. Love the hills, and funny how you start thinking H1 after owning the H2.

This one took a little juice to get over with the Hummer's long wheelbase. A little reverse and lots of gas and wham we're there.

Cranky,
Just one yank from Craig in the Red H1, no winch needed. I did, however, recover a new silverado that had been stuck for about 3 hours. He broke his transfer case. It took my 12,000 pound winch (my h1 anchored to blue h1)AND Craigs winch to pull him out. He was REALLY stuck but thankful we came along. I'm still waiting for those pics from Kevin. They are pretty funny.

Sorry Albie, there was lots of mud, steep inclines, water crosses stuff like that. There wasn't any pavement so we didn't think you wanted to go.

Brings back memorys! We used to go up there every night in 81 & 82. So how many winchs did it take to get the H1 out of the suction cup mud?

Ahhhhhh......
While the muddy moment lasted but a few minutes, the mud impregnation will last a life-time on the bottom of your rig...there's about 20 pounds of mud that you'll never get off, even with hydro-blasting!
still...it's worth it. Nice pics! I'd have joined ya, but I'm still sick and almost coughed up a lung!

No need for a lev-o-gauge on this one. I had it buried at the max 45 line. This slope was easily 65 degrees. It is the first time I've been really scared of rolling. When asked to do it again, I said hell no. On approach from the top you can't see anything but sky. If you don't step on the gas half way down you run the risk of a roll with your foot on the break. (thanks Craig for the coaching on the way down. Boulders don't scare me 65 degrees does.
