Shhhhhh. Don't try to confuse anyone with facts. We all know the H2 is just a re-bodied Tahoe  .
All that talk just reminds me of all the rocks I had to stack for the truck (6 inch lift, big tires) that went with us on the White Mtn. run..................all the Hummers made it, even the H1's  .

Tim, now it's the transmission. Just because there is not a big allison they will complain about that. The L65 was originally developed for the 6.0L engine that's in the Denali and others. It is rated to handle 400+ HP and ft/lbs of torque. It uses a case thats the same in size as the L60 that this guy is really thinking of but the guts are "beefed up" considerably. Wow, thats funny. I may be wrong but from what I remember from the old Euclid (now Terex) scrapers had a Detroit two cycle engine and an Allison air shift automatic six speed transmssion. My point being Euclid and Terex were at the time a division of G.M.
It's so easy to be a "know-it-all" when facts dont come into play  .

Yep, pointless. Other than a couple of them, everyone else are a bunch of typical Jeep owners. I don't like to stereotype, but over there it's all about hummers suck and Jeeps are the best thing in the world and they never break or get stuck. WHATEVER. It's too bad the BS is so thick over there. It might have been fun to meet up with some of the people and check out the trails. But judging by their attiude, they are just 16 year olds that just got their driver licenses and the keys to dady's old Jeep. Now i know what Alec was tlaking about.

I would be a troll since I have no CO ties right now and have no idea of the trails up there. No point in doing the board war thing. I just figure if you bounce the facts around a bit, it won't be so much brand bashing. Give them the facts and if the still want run down the H2, oh well, they'll come around eventually when they follow one up a trail

It's still just typical BS about another brand and using misinformation to make a point. The 6.0 had a "knock" that GM recognized as an issue but a non-issue since it did not cause any damage. This was in the early 6.0L engines and the engine in my denali is one of those. Basically, best I can tell, is that there is an extended break-in issue because it is only noticeable if there is bad carbon buildup at the throttle body with the A/C on and it drops the RPM to 500 or just below if you have over 50K miles on the engine. You might here the slap then. But up to at least 20K the slap is noticeable.
To my knowledge no H2s experienced this problem. And this is not something that develops, it is something that is there from when you drive it off the lot due to the tight tolerances between the top of the piston and the bottom of the head. So, the slap issue is a non-issue where H2s are concerned IMO.

I was actually thinking of getting one for the wife. But I might either go with the H3 or wait until the hybrid tahoe comes out.... We'll see. She loves them...
