Ok so here is the down low on my H3 dilemma so far.
Aug 19th, Ordered. 5 Spd, Adventure Package, Sunroof, MP3/Moonsoon, etc...
Got a Build date Sept 21.
Build Date pushed back to Oct 17th due to allocation of Sunroofs to Lux based H3 first
Sept 13th, Changed order to Included Lux Package and Home Link. Current Build now, 5Spd, Lux, Off-Road, Sunroof, etc...
No change in build date due to the addition of the Lux package (or so I Thought)
Called yesterday Build date was bumped up to Sept 30th
Car is on route to dealership and received a copy of the build sheet yesterday via email.
Build sheet does not list the Off-road package
Dealer say's they can put the five 33" on for cost $750
Define Irony. The only package I really wanted from the start was the off-road package, which is now the only thing missing
So what would you do
Take it this week as is with the added 33" tires (no E-Locker's though) (the 33" are a non-negotiable issue)
OR
Start the whole order process over again to get what I want and possibly have it by mid November.

They aren’t pushing me to take the truck (not too hard anyway) and they are completely acknowledging the mistake. But other than ordering a new one there is not much they can do. Other than that they have been pretty straight up with me.
Oh wait I almost forgot. This is kind of pissing me off. If I reorder the truck I have to pay the new GM pricing since it will be a new factory order. This will run about $600 or so more. Sunroof went from $800 to $950 Trailering package went from $270 to $350 also the Lux and Off-road also went up but I'm not sure by how much.
I have a GMID number so its not like I’m paying list but still I don’t see why I should have to pay more because they (GM, Dealer, who knows) screwed up.

Surferjo, after adding the lux package your order is the same as mine except I got it in black. My dealer really emphasized that if I changed my mind it would be hard to get it off his lot with the lux and manual combo. That really sucks that you're still waiting. Are you sure you're dealer actually put the order in when he said he did? Either way honestly I would order it again somewhere else. You should get what you want.

Did you try doing a dealer search to see if any dealers have what you want on the lot within a few hundred miles? My local dealer doesn't have what I want, but I have found about 8 around CA that meet what I want. I am still just trying to decide on the color.

I agree with DDWH and sfox above, with one addition.
The one thing that you wanted was the Adventure package. Get the Adventure package. You are always going to be saying to yourself that you miss it (especially if you plan on wheeling). You will always look at the truck as "nice" but there will always be somthing missing. You are going to own the truck for years and years. Get what you want.
Oh, and get the dealer to push your vehicle up in the production schedule as they (or GM) farked up the build.

I certainly wouldn't settle. As several mentioned, you will regret it if you do. I think it is ridicules that the dealer wants you to pay $750 to put 33"s on a vehicle that they got wrong. I have not checked the price of these tires but sounds to me like they are charging you almost retail to somewhat cover their screw up and probably keeping to 32"s
You can get through another month. I have been waiting since March 18th because I wanted Slate Blue. Of course I could have had it before now if it were not for some unforeseen circumstances but I do no regret waiting to get what I really want.

Don't get the stock 33's. Seems like you really want this truck for off road purposes. You'll just end up spending more on mud tires anyway. Just get the stock tires and put mud tires on the stock rims. Look at my recent post on 33's.
BTW - H3 inventory is huge in Seattle. Is it that sparse in New York?

Well it looks like I'm going to have to take the advice of my (future) Hummer peers.
The Dealer locate thing is next to impossible since I’m looking for a 5spd.
I think they produce one 5spd for every 20 Autos. At least that’s the ratios I'm seeing on the lots.
Thanks for the advice.

Well I have to take the 33" if I go with the off-road package, which is what i really want. I dont want to loose the E-Lockers.
My dealer has over 70 H3's on the lot but only a few 5spd's and they are all stripped.

Gathering can be informal owner get-togethers, or sponsored/organized by your local dealer. Usually involves some off-roading along with various related lessons (like recovery techniques) depending upon the event organizer.

The 5spd has a better crawl ratio.
