the lady who sometimes cuts my hair is a refugee from Iran. She told me this happens about 2 years ago in Iran.
She says that when a man is "tired" of his wife and wants a new one he will go into the streets and start yelling that his wife has cheated on him. So he gathers the neighbors for whitnesses and they drag her into the streets where she is either stoned to death or beheaded. This must happen in front of whitnesses to be legal in Iranian law.

Needless to say I thought that "that cant really happen" but look at this mob? There are 100s and no one will help her. They just let her die...

It's really sick that people do this to each other. No doubt about it.

But which of our dealings in the middle east does this video justify exactly?
As much as it pisses me off, how do their crimes justify US policy? Take your pick ...

A. Promoting inter-arabic violence through money and arms shipments
B. Financing dictatorships for decades, only to use their compliance with our wishes as an excuse to depose them later.
C. Kidnapping suspects with or without evidence and taking them out of their country for any period of time.
D. Torturing those suspects for information in secret CIA prisons without regard to our laws, the laws of the host country, the laws of the prisoner's country, or basic human rights.
E. Circomventing the Geneva Convention by inventing the term "enemy combatants", in order to justify the torture, abuse and indefinite confinement of whoever we decide is an enemy.
F. Executing an undefined and unlimited "war on terror", which means whatever we decide it does, and using that term to justify our abuse of anyone's sovereignty, human rights or legal rights (as defined in their own country).
G. Taking over a sovereign country and promising democracy, but instead, using their country to host our "war on terror".

Seriously, that video justifies nothing.

What if another country hated our policies but really liked our natural resources. So let's say they pretend to be our friends and supply the government with false (or even true) information against Mexico that incites us to go to war. Meanwhile they finance latino street gangs with money and weapons to fight the cops and create anarchy, effectively inflaming popular prejudice against latinos.

Finally when they have enough evidence that we're cruel, inhuman and warlike, they invade our soil, to "quell the violence". And when people fight back, they kidnap anyone they want, take them to foreign prisons, and torture them for information ... still pretending to be righteous and magnanimous. Meanwhile they set up corporations to "develop a free economy" that exploits our natural resources.

Are they really fooling anyone? I don't care what their citizens download off YouTube, it would never justify invading my homeland, and I'd fight back same as you.

WTF does this have to do with the video? Did this woman invade her country so that she could be stoned to death. Was her husband a GI who invaded so SHE could be stoned to death.
I believe what the video was showing was how barbaric the Muslim religion really is, and didn't have anything to do with US policy on throwing terrorists in jail. (Terrorists meaning someone not fighting in a uniform or supported by a government, which from what I remember of my days in the military had no protection from the Geneva convention. In fact, those not in uniform of another country in WWII were executed as spies.)
