Just had the dealer put in a new power steering pump on my SUT and when I picked it up it sounded as loud as before. I drove it around the lot and brought it back to the service adviser and it totally failed and started leaking PS fluid. He said they must have installed a bad pump! Also, does your dealer wash the Hummer before you pick it up? The two times I have had it in for service it has come back dirtier than when I left it. I asked my salesman about this and he said they quit doing this a year ago. What do yall think? Dealer is Scoggin Dickey in Lubbock, Texas.

Sucks about the pump, but crap happens.

Mine washes it, but I ask VERY nicely.

We wash all of ours when they're in for service. Then again, we have a free Car Wash On Demand program for all of our owners: free car washes, anytime.

We always have ours washed too. We also bought both vehicles from our dealer, tho - they said we can stop by anytime for a wash.

SD sucks. Sorry to be blunt. I lived in Lubbock through high school and got my first truck at SD. They took forever on repairs and took too many shortcuts on repairs for my liking.

For a $50K + truck, the least they could do was wash it. Sheesh. Water is scarce in Lubbock but not THAT scarce.

I prefer my dealer not to wash my H2. They are hacks and dont know proper washing techniques. I requested that my H2 not be touched or detailed for the original pick up upon purchase. Dont let the dealer detailers near your H2 with a buffer, they are sure to screw up our paint. But hey, I'm very finiky and particular about detailing!

I use to let dealer wash rig and they did a decent job. Nothing special but, We have a guy at Our shop that He can do anything but, He loves to detail. So He takes care of Dragons and My rig. In fact if He is caught up if a customer comes by and they are in buying set of tires or anthing really He will grab it and run back an clean it up. He had been in detailing along time and just enjoys making something look so good. He does do that for sure. He is the only one that I let detail rig after We get to a show same with Dragon.

My Hummer dealer in Honolulu,Hawaii washed it after they repaired it.. then they dinged the door, stained my headliner, than left my Hummer in the rain.. the next/last service I didn't get a wash but they did manage to ding my other door, forget about the headliner, and get water spots all over my truck.

I always wash and detail my truck before I get any work done on my truck. It shows (or should show) to whoever is working on your truck that you care about it so they should too. Plus you'll be able to tell if they dinged/damaged your truck and you won't have to guess if the damage was done before or after you got your truck back.
