>>I never knew so many people would complain about a hummer.<<

I recall reading that the results were skewed by a disproportionate number of owners complaining about fuel economy. There's a commentary in there somewhere about 1. the literacy rate of Hummer owners (EPA ratings are in 24 font bold letter type on the window sticker), 2. the poverty rate of Hummer owners (way too many of these $50k+ monstrosities driven by young, downwardly-mobile rap artist wannabies living at home), and 3. the educational level of Hummer owners (probably never passed high school physics; ergo, more weight requires greater force which requires greater energy).

What is a G35?

Ok, I just did a search and found out it is a Nissan/Infiniti. Nice look little Japanese car. It seem a little far fetch for a little Japanese car guy to pick on Hummer. Odd. Whatever.

Quiz: Anyone know what does NISSAN stand for? NISSAN name has a meaning. 2 words, NI SSAN.

Nissan/Infiniti is not a Japanese car. Ok it sort of is. But nice FRENCH company owns a lot of it. So in my eyes it is a french car. F-em.

NI=JAPAN, SSAN=MADE. NISSAN=JAPAN MADE. Direct translation.
If you drive a Nissan, your car brand is "Made in Japan."

I have nothing against Japanese or imported cars. I don't make fun of people who drive Japanese cars, because most of them buy Japanese cars for economic reasons, I cannot laugh at people who have less money to buy or fix expensive cars. It is a global economy, we need them just as much as they need us.

If Nissan is French, then SAAB, Volvo, Jaguar, RR, Mazda are all Americans.

Mac, don't forget Aston Marton, either. The classiest of British cars is now a Yank! What will Bond drive in the next movie...A GT40? Hehehe

Yes, this is my truck. No, I will NOT help you move.

You forgot to mention Mercedes-Benz, and Lambourgini(sp?)...both Chrysler's if I remember correctly.

Drag...dont knock the GT40...I would buy one of those in a second (if I ever won the Lottery).

Lambo, Bentley are VW, and Rolls is BMW
I think all those above are much better now because of the german influence.

I didn't mean that they were french but rather owned buy a french company. Peugout (sp?) is the owner. I for one limit my consumption/purchases of french products. I really like the nissan/infinite products but would probably not buy one for that reason. Last time I checked (i could be wrong) Lamborghini is was sold to VW AG. Mercedes is not Chrysler. Chrysler is Mercedes. The president of Chyrsler is German and born in germany.

I knew that Chrysler bought Lambo in the early 90's (91 or so), but I did not know they sold it. As far as Mercedes/Chrysler, I always just assumed that since Chrysler was in the name, (Daimler Chrysler) that they were the owner.

I guess a humble S10 owner is no match for the intelect of the Mighty H2 owners (best I could come up with).

Officially, I have to praise Nissan since a new truck/suv plant opened here.

Unofficially, I learned to drive when I was 10 in a Datsun pickup and Willys Jeep. Datsun was the predecesor to Nissan.

Hi H2 "brothers/sisters":

Every car on earth is purpose-built. I happen to own both an H2 (red, red grill, Gobi rack and spare, rack lights fore and aft, grill guard lights, black chrome stuff, multi-mount winch, etc.) and a NISSAN 350Z and several other purpose-built autos. I wouldn't take serpiginous roads at any speed with my Hummer nor would I take my 350Z through off-road mud and terrain and I can't tow my gooseneck trailer with EITHER rig! But I find both to be enjoyable vehicles (always use the right tool for the job!).

Forums are inevitably flooded with "anti's", placed on this earth to increase the "hassle-factor" for others and unfortunately, this one is no exception. I'll just keep enjoying my H2 as it was intended to be used and pick the pearls from our forum site and discard the "sand".

Shaggy, I'd bust a nut over that new Ford GT, and as soon as I hit the lotto, I'd be behind the wheel. Lambo, however, is the one that I love. Just dreaming about Diablo's back in the 80s. They were truly THE pimp mobile.

Yes, this is my truck. No, I will NOT help you move.

Correct me if I am wrong (seems to happen often), but my understanding is that the Diablo wasnt unveiled until 1990, and wasnt sold until either 91 or 92. Not that I would know first hand (I was only 8 in 1990), but thats what I have heard.

Luckydog...what exactly did you just prove? DaimlerChrysler (DCX) is the parent company of both Chrysler, and Mercedes...correct? Mercedes is the primary share holder of the DCX company(this really is a guess, I am too lazy to research it)...correct? Therefore, Chrysler is owned by Mercedes...correct? Which is what he was saying in the first place.
