Had a great time wheeling this afternoon on a new trail. Met up with a few Spanish speaking Jeeper families and we were all glad we met! I thought it was just a simple dirt road and didn't bring my spare tire along - turned out to be quite the difficult trail.

After watching several of the Jeeps try to make it up a little side excursion, I went for it - and caught my right rear sidewall on a razor-rock. Whoops. Opened up about a 4" gash in the tire. They were very cool - drove me down to the staging area where a friend brought my spare, and then drove me back up and helped me change it out. In the meantime, however, one of their Jeeps broke a steering rod. Ouch. Once I was up and running again, I drove them down into town to another friend's house and he welded their parts back together. I got them back, we reinstalled it, and finally - as it was getting dark - we were all back on our way. Wheelers, no matter what they are driving or what language they speak, ar a very cool bunch. Of course, I never let them take a pick of my stranded Hummer, but I DID manage a shot of my H2 lighting them up for their repair.
All in all, a fun day and some new friends.
