Original MOS would have been 11BF7, but was discharged with a 37F.

I arrived around May 66 with the 140th Heavy Equipment Maint. Co..We were sent to the Long Bien Area and built our own compound.It was an unsecure area when we were their. It took about 3 months to totaly secure it.

Small arms fire every now and then during the day ...and at night 1 or 2 incoming mortors. I was a (62B30H) Depot Rebuild Mechanic...Rough Terrain Cranes and Bulldozers.

You'd never know it though.. they issued me an M14AR and a M179 Duper and in between wrenched in the bush I did Ammo convoys and non Mechanical things just so they made sure I would use the weapons...
