Over ride GPS System

Just had a Pioneer AVIC-D in dash GPS system installed. Here is the wrinkle... you can only enter/change destinations while in park and with parking brake engaged. I did some Googling to see how to override the parking brake hookup and found out that it also is tied to your speedometer and the GPS tracking system. Meaning the system won't let you enter/change the destination if you are moving. Damn! Does anyone know how to override all that without messing up the entire system? otherwise it is a sweet system.
