I'm back! and lots of bitching...

After a disaterous move, I'm back online as of tonight. Leasing a descent townhome from a crooked real estate agency (Rose and Womble). Had to do alot of the process from 300 miles away and had expected to move in to a place in "live-in" condition. Moved on a Sat and had to work Mon a.m. after a 6 hour drive in a caravan of SUV's and a 26ft Uhaul and unloading the truck in near 100 degree heat I went to take a shower and discover there was no hot water. The hot water heater was broken. By this time we wondered why it was still 85 degrees inside - the A/C wasn't working either... Called the emergency # and left 6 messages over Sat and Sunday. Called the property managers personal cell (which I wasn't supposed to have) just once out of courtesy, still no response. They arrived Mon afternoon and fixed those 2 problems, with no apology or concern. The lease is like selling your soul to the devil. If your check is returned for any reason there is a $300 fee + $35 bank fee + 10% late fee (about $140), $20 a minute to clean windows if left dirty, $10 nail or tack hole, etc, etc. I was desperate for a decent place to live is the only reason I signed.

By Monday a.m. I had to take a cold shower (which really pisses me off) and go into a practice that is a total nightmare. Been there 60hrs a week ever since, need to be there more!

On a positive note, love the area. LOTS of Hummers, more than any area I've ever been in.
