Default STOCK ORIGINAL BATTERIES IN EARLY MODEL H2'S

i noticed a drop off in cranking power this week, so figured it was time for a new replacement battery.....ordered exact same batt. from ac delco... when i removed the old one i noticed a small trace of acid in tray...when i took out the positive bolt it was leaking from a small crack.....i took old battery to place where i got the new one and had it tested ....it had around 150 amps left....still started truck bad real hard.....the new battery puts out about 1,100 amps....here's the heads up.... the guy said that delco had a problem with early batteries cracking in exact same place,,,,,,so anybody with early h2's ,,,,take a flash lite ,, lift cover on battery and look down by clamp....if you see green its leaking....or pull bolts on neg and pos terminals and check.....he also said that the green eye on top of battery is b.s........Soft...
