Default Here we go again people.

Okay, I wak into Starbucks this morning, pick up a paper (San Jose Mercury) and I see a yellow H2 on the front page. I'm thinking "cool, what's this about". And wouldn't you know it, under the H2 it reads 'If you buy this car, you'll owe $2500. Then there's a picture of a Toyota Prius, which underneath reads 'Buy this one, you'll pocket $2500. Now I'm thinking WTF.

It seems Calif. legislators are trying to pass a bill that would penalize "high emitting greenhouse gas vehicles" and reward low ones.

There was a list of 17 vehicles that would have a fee. Top 3 were the H2, Dodge Viper and Dodge Ram ( of course they had to put the H2 on the front page ). Whoever buys these 3 vehicles would get an addition $2500 tagged on to their sticker. Ford Expedition came in fourth with a fee of $2490. Last was the Chevy Trailblazer with a fee of $1333.

The other list had 28 cars ranging from the Prius to the Santa Fe.

Is it me or is this pretty lame. I'm all for preventing global warming and saving the environment, but this seems like some kind of witch hunt. If anything, they should go after those junky cars that aren't even smogged. There's thousands of those.

Guess I'll have to go to Nevada to buy my next Hummer.
