Default Now tell me I can't keep the sonofabitch cool....

As many of you know, I installed a supercharger a few months ago. I put an 2 core aluminum radiator with dual electric fans on it.

I put a larger intercooler in front of the condensor and moved the transmission cooler immediately behind the grille.

Problem is, when I got stuck in traffic, the truck ran hot. The dual electric fans were 4600 cfm between the two of them but they were not built into a "shroud" like the new ones. They were separate fans.

The computer was programmed to go into closed loop at 160 degrees but I'm still running the stock thermostat (195). Lingenfelter has sent me 2 thermostats but they both wrong. Apparently they used an '04 thermostat housing on my .03

Soooooo, I bought some 6000 cfm fans with a shrouds, moved the transmission cooler under the truck and used one of the electric fans that were on the radiator, underneath blowing on the trans cooler.

This clears up the space in the grille. The oil cooler is underneath at the moment but hopefully all this will work. It was only in the 70's yesterday but when I punched it for a good 1/2 mile or so, nothing got warm.

We'll see.

Here's the radiator with the new fans...

Side view...

Hopefully there's no issues right now with the fan being below the guard but eventually I will buy one of the B&M coolers with fan setup to go above the guard.

As Tim says, it's been so long since I've been off road, it's a pavement princess...
