In all the years I have messed with building engines and timing etc. I have never had the need to retard the timing much. The Proflash allows You to choose economy and I was just trying different settings. IN economy the display on H2 tells You reduced power, DUH. In economy mode it will let You retard or advance timing 5 degree just like in performance it will let You do that as well as advance timing 5 degree. I have always worked with 0 to 5 but, not minus 5. What could be expected in economy mode with timing retarded 5 degree. More economy, less or damage engine? I would appreciate any advice on this. The economy is really for the interstate while traveling and was told should run in rv/tow mode most of the time, even though it has another perf. setting and You can tell the diff. Any advice appreciated as far as tuning for different settings on programer. Hopefully someone has been through it all and can give Me a jump on the learning curve.
