Default Replaced K&N with True Flow Foam Filter

Finally had the time to replace the K&N Filter with the True Flow foam filter:

Big difference!! with the K&N installed I noticed alot more fine particulate getting into the throttle body and found it definately allowed air flow through but at the expense of quality air flow. When I initally installed the K&N I had the engine light come on a few times and figured it must be due to the MAF recaliberating the air flow sensor, this took a couple of days to settle in. The same occured with the Foam filter, after two days the engine light went away and I noticed a definate smoother acceleration and top end gain. You can feel it when you punch it and/or accelerate over 70mph. Best thing is that I no longer have to worry about dust or fine particulates getting into the motor and dirtying up the intake and engine oil. With less grit, the engine will last longer and breathe easier. Nicest part of all is that it fits right into your factory air box, just take the old paper filter out and slip the foam one in. Before installing the foam filter I completely cleaned the intake and MAF with a throttle body cleaner and MAF cleaner, I then hosed down and cleaned the factory filter box and resonator, finally, I hooked up all the components and can say without a doubt, the truck truely runs great. Now I just need to replace the front differential, but thats another story!

Cheers.
