Toyota Prius or Hummer
My neighbor works for Toyota and he said to me that the amount of carbon produced to make the battery for the Prius equals driving a hummer for 5 years. The reason for this is the material they use to make the battery's must be mined, then shipped to Ireland then shipped to Japan then shipped to the Prius manufacturing plants so the energy it take to do all that equals driving a H2 under normal driving habits.
He then said the batteries last about 10 to 15 years and once there done you now have to recycle them and that will take a lot of energy also.
So the Toyota Prius might not be the most environment way to go.
The only way is to not drive ride a bicycle but the problem with that is I cant tow my trailer and have my wife and kids with me when I go camping.
