Default New Gobi bed rack

Nice OEM hitch step to access the bed rack.

Installed my new Gobi Bed rack yesterday. Pretty easy install. A very nice high quality product. The Bed rack, I thought was a bit pricey but there was nothing available with quality and construction of a GOBI. I researched the product pretty well and then ordered her up. It took almost 5 weeks to get it which sucked. But its finally here and installed. With H2 being so high, reaching the rack was going to be a pain. I came across a picture of the Concept H2 Safari edition and i noticed it had this neat little hitch step on the back. I found out that GM makes the part and found one on the net. You can see it in the pic below. Its very rugged( cast iron) with skid proof surface. It nice and big so you can stand on it with both your feet.It folds up flat and has"HUMMER" embossed on the back side. The rack looks great and can hold up to 300lbs. I think it completes the truck nicely and looks OEM. I really wasnt sure what the factory taneau cover was made of untill i drilled the holes for the support brackets. its only aluminum covered styrofoam! I thought it was a covered wood product or something similar. Gald I never tried to put anything heavy directly on the cover.
