Re: Blackberry (crackberry)
Hey Gang,
Verizon has the BLACKBERRY STORM which looks to be very close to iphone.
I know in past Verizon phones have been bought on Ebay and used on Alltel.
The Alltel sales will say know but, I got to visit with a tech one time and he said just get an unlocked phone on CDMA 800/1900 which is same as Alltel and it will work. He said Verizon charges for everything so all features are loced and that the tech said they do have trouble then making it work on Alltel.
Will the newer super phones be more trouble or still just get unlocked ones. I know GSM is way easier to deal with than CDMA.
I would like to use the Storm on Alltel for 2 more years if it will work. Alltel has a great super phone plan right now that Verizon would be bound by till it is up. It would do WAY MORE than I can now for $50 a month less. I'm looking at the HTC PPC 6800 or Moto Q9c but, Moto keys are smaller than 9800 which has a slide out Qwerty board if you do not want to use touchscreen for some reason. I have also found many websites with HTC apps to add to there older phones but, few for 6800's. I may not have come across them yet.
Help on this thought much appreciated,
TAZ
