Default '06 H2 Won't Start After Accidental Panic Button Press

I've owned a 2006 H2 for a couple of months and love it. Earlier today the panic button on the key fob got pushed in my pocket, and of course the lights started flashing and the horn started sounding. When I pushed it again, the horn and lights stopped. I jumped in it to get on my way and it wouldn't start. All the lights and dash indicators come on as normal, but the only things that happens when I turn the key is the headlights go out, but nothing else, no solenoid noise. I've searched through the owner's manual, the forum and online and can't figure it out. It's only got 14,600 miles on it and it's been running fine ever since I got it in January, so I assume it must be some idiot lockout (and apparently seems to be working as designed). I'd like to take in the morning, but will take my other car tomorrow and call the nearest dealer (98 miles distant) if I can't figure it out tonight.

Thanks,

Rick
