Added NAV to 03, GPS not tracking position - Anyone know why?

I added a factory 05 H2 touch screen NAV unit to my 03 H2, had it unlocked at the dealer.

My problem is, the unit updates the location every minute or so. I thought maybe the antenna was not getting a good signal so I put it on the dashboard to see if there would be a change... same thing, updates when I stop or occasionally when driving. Yes, it was grounded when on the dash.

Any ideas why? The only thing I can this is the antenna is bad. Ideas?
