Got this from the gmsidenews web site. Supposedly Bob works as an engineer on the H3:
Yesterday while at work I was sweeping the floor and this beautiful BLACK H3 pulls in (5th one I've seen). The guy gets out.......
Lets call him "Bob"
Me "Wow, great looking H3, they just started production a couple weeks ago"
Bob "That's true, I work for GM, we've been making about 300 a week (maybe he said day)"
Me "How does it drive"
Bob "Well, it drives like a truck (laughs), not smooth like a car"
Me " (laughs) I bet. Does the I5 have enough power for it?"
Bob "My son says it's a pig, but I think it's ok. But if you're in a hurry or someone is riding your ass, this isn't the engine (laughs)"
Me "It's a shame the I6 wouldn't fit"
Bob "Yeah, that would have been much better"
Me "Well, the TURBO I5 should solve that"
After I said that, he was sending out a vibe that I caught. As soon as I said "Turbo I5", he seemed surprised and puzzled that I knew about it.
Bob "Yeah, it should solve the power problem (winks at me)"
I know this isn't anything exciting to hear, but I thought I'd let you guys in on my experience. There have been rumors about the TURBO I5 being scrapped in favor of a V8. Maybe my encounter will make you guys think twice.
The H3 he was driving was black with the ebony interior and red piping on the seats. My boss doesn't exactly like it when I bother customers too much, so I really couldn't ask to sit in it.
The whole time the guy was in a BIG hurry. As soon as I started talking about the engine he seemed to quicken his pace to get out of the store.
Maybe I'm crazy, but something was going on when I mentioned the TURBO I5.
The last thing he said to me was......"You really know your stuff young man."
