Hmm... Hummer said that they went with the I5 because a 6 wouldn't fit.

Why did you feel the need to add the drivel about the wheels? Was that supposed to add credibility to your story?
A diesel will make its way into the wee baby H3 first.

I don't see how they could fit a V8 in that engine compartment.
