Thats what I figured. I really like the H2 as well but the H3 fits the budget better these days. Will just have to upgrade down the road

What? Buy an H3 for a kid!!!!! Even if you have the money to do this, that's just stupid. Make him borrow one of your Montero, or buy an older used somethingor other. Spoiling a kid, no matter how good he is, with a H3 or any other nice new car is a sure way to delude him even more about the harshness of the real world. He needs to learn to be without or at least have something basic.

When I said buy I meant co-sign for it . We have had the deal that I pick up the insurance and he pays the tab for the vehicle. I agree with you about deluding children and he understands the real world. Currently, he makes almost 500 dollars a month from mowing lawns. He bought his own mower and gas powered weed eater. He has to buy his own gas and everything else. If he continues to work the way he is and save the way he does I will put my credit up to give him the vehicle he wants. Like I said he has to pay the tab for whatever he decides he is going to purchase. Currently, he wants an H3 but we all know how kids are and they change their minds constantly. When the time comes whatever he wants and can afford I will help him out.

Now that's cool. Great to see a kid that actually knows how to work for something. He should be rewarded for his hard work. Everyone would have their own ideas of how to reward him but sounds like you have a plan. I am sick of all the spoiled little sh!ts running around here. My parents could have bought me any car I wanted, within reason of course, when I was a kid but they didn't. Back then, riding around with friends in there new Porsche, BMW, TA or whatever, I didn't appreciate it but I sure as hell did after I got a little older.

Just curious, why do you dislike it so much or is it just that you like the H2 that much more and wouldn't switch to the H3? Just curious. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
I just like the H2 that much better. I don't think the H3 would have attracted me to the Hummer line up. I certianly think it has its place, but I don't think its the step above that I was expecting out of Hummer.

We have a h2 now and IMO the H3 is way to cramped and not near the power. Sure its cheapier and gets better mileage but you get what you pay for =)

To each their own. I could not buy one for me or my wife. It is not the tank that the H1 or H2 is. I love driving my H2s. I would like to add another H1 to the family.

I do think we are going to buy one. My little lady wants one and she's got her eye on the H3, now I got to make sure she doesn't find something else she likes more.

I set out to buy an H3. Test drove it. Came back and test drove an H2 that I really didnt want to spend good money on. Well......I know own an H2. The H3 was way underpowered and much more cramped. NIce truck buut didnt compare to the H2. My wife would like an H3 and I'm all for her to eventually have one. But I'll stick to the H2!

After owning a H3 for the past several weeks I think it is a great vehicle. My wife has wanted another SUV for the past year and we have looked at several brands but she has fallen in Love with the H3. I have some issues with the vehicle that are pretty much on the same lines as other H3 owners and I have yet the opportunity to take it off road but I am impressed with the vehicles capability so far. Personally I wanted an H2 but for her daily driving she prefered the H3. I definetly think GM did their homework and found that there was a niche in the Hummer lineup for the H3. Just look at the sales numbers since it's release. So all I can say is welcome to the family and enjoy what you have: H1, H2 or H3.

I wish they could have designed it to look "much" different than the H2. Although the H1 and H2 share the same lineage, at least they have individual characteristics.
The H3 tries too hard to look like its big brother. Perhaps that was GM was aiming for but I think it is a mistake. I think it degrades the H2.

There's a little humor to be found in that one. With all due respect, of course.
