That's "F" up...

Yeah ,, your right about the manual being "F" up also.. I wouldn't call it sketchy...

So.. Thanks for clearing this up for me. It means ..nothing wrong with the XM NAV unit as far as the Grayed out XM Info Button. Agin you would think that they would mention this button in regards to not functioning. All I have to do now is have them get the alternator to quick singen along with the XM.

Thanks..TW..

VNV,
It sounds wierd, but when ya use it kinda makes sense. Let's assume we're leaving that option enabled. I on screen use right and left arrows to select a category, then using Seek button, it will go thru ONLY the channels in that category (like News), or if you want to just change channels you use tuning knob. It works with the hard keys cause there are no soft keys for tuning or scan/seeking. When option not enabled, Seek just acts like tuning knob. Not even sure why it is an option. Maybe people like to use Seek key to change channels as opposed to tuning knob? Not sure...LOL. But I leave it enabled and use it as above.
Maybe you were thinking that when you had a category on and hit select, the right and left soft keys would only go thru that category?
Radio took a little getting used to, but works great! Not an AVIC, but it will do!

What I thought was when the Categoty came up on the left..the "Select" key would go their and then you could tune within that Category with the hard Tunig knob. . Eeeeehh...!! ....Doooooooooh..!! Wrong.

Anyway... I'll play with it somemore tomorrow. I'm sure the Pioneer has more to offer but I kind of like this unit. It does have it's draw backs like no input for Back up cam or DVD or on the fly NAV programing but..I'll make do for right now with my GM Product.

I'm a Happy Camper ...I'm enjoying my rig and all the GM gooodies.

I hear ya!

I also want backup cam, DVD in (with audio), etc. I want to get the GM Pac adapter and see how well that works (VCI-GM2/AV). When I get some cash and some time, I'm gonna give it a go. Still looking for a backup cam I like though.

Pretty cool....it's like $350 - $400. Let you have backup cam, and then 2 audio/video in. Comes with a little remote. Nice. Only thing is, you have to open radio to install. Check link, has installation instructions that also have a pretty good schematic on second page of how it works and what connects to it. I might have to justify the costr sooner then later. Just can't find a cam I like.

Very cool..Spent some time on the PAC Web page reading the instructions. Not to bad of an install. The hardest part is figuring out how to pop the dash apart. There was a link to a site that I think shows how to open up the front of the dash and or A Pillers and such.

I'll have to get my ducks in a row and get the game plan down after I get the XM Whine and roof marker lamp thing out of the way.

Thanks TW...
