You are all lucky, The poor Penguins. We have a few great young stars (Crosby for example) but we can not get the governor (Fast Eddie Rendell) to let a casino build them a FREE new home in exchange for a gaming licences becase he has probably been paid off by another casino to give them the liscense. He is so crooked. He keeps coming up with other ideas for the other casinos to offer but the current plan says as soon as they are given the liscense they pay the city $290 million. all the other deals are spread over years and dependant on the profits. So many things wrong with the whole process. Some how the casino liscense thing is now tied to trying to revitalize several "decaying" areas of the cities.... since when is it private businesses responsibilty to help the poor?

OK, I will continue my rant about the replacement arena for the Penguins with the new announcment today. Governor Fast Eddie Rendall has decided to postpone the decision on who will get the gaming liscenses until after the fall elections "to avoid the people using thier votes to influence the decision". Sounds like he will do anything to get the gambling to his friends at harrah's to include delaying everything until after the election so he does not have to listen to the voters. The jack *ss Pittsburgh mayor Bob O'Connor is such a Rendell lackey he comes right out and says it is about what is best for the state. The local morning FM show called him on the fact he is the Mayor of PGH not the state and he should be fighting for what is best for PGH but he tap danced around singing "I love fast eddie" and avoiding the decicions. Jaxasses!!!!

Racer-x-- I am worried about how the Stars finished the season, but Turco was not in goal for the blown 2-0 game. We have high expectations that Turco will show up this time and take us deep in the playoffs, but he has yet to do anything in the playoffs. At the risk of having to eat my words later I do not think the Avs have enough to get past the Stars.
