So I pop the spare back on last night and go to install the license carrier and....
It doesn't fit! 
The wheel is so wide and deep I had to trim the carrier. Of course that means I got to play with some of my new air tools.

Nope.
I took off my stock spare (hey - now I can paint it) and tried to put the KMC on there...hell no! I didn't even have to lift it up to check. (thank god)
Soooooooooooooo...I have yet to try one on the truck - but I think they will work.

Now I just need to find a different place to mount this thing. I don't like it back there. I just know I'm going to drag it around the trails like an anchor.

Looks great, Ken.
I've been meaning to mention ...
One thing I really like about the desert sand paint is, in the right light (like in your first picture above), it looks so ... so ... well ... it looks pewter.

I thought he could just do it okee style and loosly hang it from bailing wire under the bumper. That way it can just roll up on a tuff departure. Another added benefit, if your running from the law the wind will keep it up and unreadable! |

As you can see from this pic I cut it pretty short behind the license plate. I also had to bend the corners of the plate to make it work. Finally, I added some self stick protector thingys under the plate's fold.
